Meet the Team

“I know what makes a strong application, but just as importantly, I care deeply about helping you succeed.” - Ilene S. Rosen, Founder

Ilene Rosen

Founder

I founded InsightMed for one reason. To offer caring, supportive assistance that helps aspiring physicians achieve their dreams.

The field is dominated by large companies that outsource services to editors who may never meet you, medical students who work on the side, or doctors who know medicine but do not specialize in applying to medical school. Feedback can be generic, turnaround times may be slow, and students can feel like they are working with a team of strangers rather than a partner.

That is not how I work.

I am an Essay Specialist

who believes in building a direct, collaborative relationship with each student. When you consult with me, you work with me. Line by line, essay by essay, I help you uncover and refine your story until it shines through with clarity and authenticity.

My background is rooted in 25 years of editing and storytelling, fed by decades-long personal exposure to academic medicine. I have been mentored by some of the best advisors in the field, and bring both professional expertise and personal experience to the process. I know what makes a strong application, and  just as importantly, care deeply about helping you succeed. Having the opportunity to work with my family and apply their direct experience and knowledge makes what I do that much more exciting.
